How to use Soft Gel Press-Ons the right way:
Step 1: Clean Hands
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, then dry them completely. Ensure your nails are perfectly clean and free from any oils, dirt, or lotions.
Step 2: Push Back Cuticles
Use the rosewood stick to gently push back your cuticles. Be sure to also remove the thin, almost invisible layer of skin on the nail plate to ensure maximum adhesion.
Step 3: Filing & Buffing
File your natural nails short and shape them so they don’t peek out from under the press-ons. Next, lightly buff the surface with a buffer file to improve adhesion.
Note: Buff gently to avoid damaging your natural nails.
Step 4: Degrease Your Nails
Clean your nails thoroughly with an alcohol prep pad. This removes any dust and oils, which is essential for achieving a long-lasting, secure bond.
Step 5: Sizing & Customization
Place each press-on over your natural nail to ensure a perfect fit without overlapping onto the skin. Are you between two sizes? Always choose the smaller one. If necessary, lightly file the sides for a seamless, natural look.
✦ Using the wrong size can cause the nails to lift or create air bubbles underneath.
Step 6: Choose Your Application Method
A: Adhesive Tabs
Gentle, reusable, and lasts up to 7 days. Choose the correct tab size: it should not be too narrow, nor should it overlap your nail. Place the tab on your natural nail and press down firmly, ensuring it doesn’t touch the cuticle. Gently smooth out any air bubbles with the rosewood stick, then remove the protective film.
B: Nail Glue
Strong bond for up to 14 days of wear. Apply a small amount of nail glue to the press-on nail and a thin, even layer to your natural nail. Avoid contact with the cuticle and prevent using excess glue to ensure a clean, professional, and long-lasting finish.
Step 7: Applying Your Soft Gel Press-Ons
Place the press-on at a 45-degree angle against the base of your nail and gently lower it down. Press and hold firmly for approximately 60 seconds to ensure a strong, secure bond. Within minutes, you’ll enjoy a polished, salon-quality manicure.
